it is only today that i am able to put my feelings in to words. i am so angry. michael jackson was killed by a cruel world; by all of the angry, bitter, money-hungry, mean people who's only pleasure was to tear him down so they could feel better about being worthless. michael jackson died because years of torture led him to over-medicate himself in order to escape the pain of living under the microscope of evil, angry, jealous individuals who's life goal was to make him feel weak...and they won in the end.
no living thing deserves to be tortured because they are not like all the rest. it is a very disturbing thing to me that this story ends like it does: over-abundant beauty and talent lost to the mean words and actions of an over-judgmental society. this is the reason for a lot of the pain and suffering in the world. for the addictions and suicides...for the desperation felt by those who were not born to conform to social norms. it is so completely unfair.
cruel. simply cruel.

This is very well-made American documentary focused on Rev. Fred Phelps, patriarch and supreme leader of the ultra-orthodox Westboro Baptist Church (www.godhatesfags.com)...documentary includes interviews with neighbours, families of the dead people who's funerals his church pickets, local politicians, and past work colleagues...
The most hated family in America
This is a BBC documentary about the Phelps', the family that makes up the Westboro Baptist Church (the group that pickets outside the funerals of dead soldiers, people who have died of AIDS, and victims of homophobic hate crimes.) The documentaian lived with the family for several weeks and attended protests with them. The resulting video has several surprising glimpses into the human side of this seemingly inhumane clan...and two not-so-surprising, not-so-humane run-ins with their insane leader, Rev. Fred Phelps - or, Gramps, as he is lovingly referred to by his flock of picketing sheep.
